Cabins Painted

Greetings!  The team finished painting the last four cabins this morning before heading down the mountain to visit Turnu Rosu Placement Center.  Turnu Rosu is where Dr. Scott Packham and his dental team have been working all week so it was great to see their set-up.  Quite impressive for a traveling dental office, it smelled just like an office you might visit.  The main difference is that Scott says kids are excited to visit him........

The kids at Turnu Rosu could barely contain themselves as the vans pulled in the driveway and hugs were dispensed at every turn.  These children were starving for affection, I don't think there was one team member's hand free from the loving touch of a child during our visit.  It fills the heart and breaks it all at the same time.

Back at camp we assembled a few of the beds and then had several hours of free time to relax, play cards, and enjoy the camp.  Iulian took a break from preparing tonight's BBQ feast to take the team across the little river and use an old satellite dish as a sled.  There are small pockets of snow covered by fallen leaves and it served as a perfect sledding spot.

Our second to last dinner is in about an hour and the fact that we are heading home soon is hitting our students.  Parents, just so you know, everyone wishes to stay longer and some may be asking to return this summer to work at the camp........little warning.  :-)

Tomorrow will be a full day of  village food distribution and two final Easter distributions.  I will post some pictures tomorrow from my phone.
